Food waste, healthy eating, and energy loss are among the major global issues. Every year, a large amount of food is throw n away, and this waste harms the environment. Food waste often ends up in landfills, where it produces harmful greenhouse gases like methane. Reducing food waste can help lower these gas emissions and preserve resources. Energy loss, on the other hand, results from unnecessary energy use, such as leaving lights on, using outdated appliances, or not properly insulating our homes. We aim to learn simple, actionable, and sustainable solutions to address these three issues. By working together, we want t o make a positive impact on both our lives and the environment. This project seeks to prevent food waste, adopt healthy hab its, and protect nature by reducing energy loss. We see a lot of food and energy waste around us, and we know that it is har ming our environment. We believe that if we can reduce these problems, we can make the world a cleaner and healthier place. Some of the goals of our project are:
- to educate ourselves on the impact of food and energy waste on the environment. Many people are unaware of how their ac tions affect the environment.
- to learn simple methods to save energy and reduce food waste, such as meal planning, utilizing leftovers, and turning off un necessary lights.
- to share the project’s results with schools, families, and the wider public, aiming to raise awareness about food waste.
- to minimize our community’s environmental impact by reducing food waste and energy loss.
- to make a real difference in our surroundings and inspire others to take action as well.
- to learn best practices from different EU countries and adapt these practices into our lives.
- to better understand different cultures and increase our intercultural awareness.
- to gain more knowledge about healthy eating and develop good habits in this area.
